This post is very interesting. I agree that one has to know his financial personality, where does he spend why does he spend, etc. Only after identifying these factors can one plan the financial security, that is to say, analyze his expenses and then save money for future or emergencies.

Actually, Quicken will allow you to reconcile your bank account online and it will download your transaction record from your bank account. I have Quicken 2006 and it works extremely well for me.

Hi

Some companies have thier own pilocies regarding using credit cards for online internet transactions. Some companies insist that you have to call them and ask them to open the card for transactions. This is a good feature for security purposes where nobody can use your card unnessarily online. But problem sometime occurs where you have to make an emergency purchase and you cannot contact the card provider to make the purchase. Other card provider also issue virtual card for online transaction. This is a cool feature whre you can replace the card anytime without affecting the card that you have in your wallet. The problem with this is some store insist on giving a proof of your card online by faxing them copy of the cards and here you will have a problem. Based on my experience, we have to have several cards with several features in order to tackle different circumstances with our online purchases.
